xylitol-sugar substitute-dangerous for dogs

The sugar substitute, xylitol, is very dangerous for dogs. A lot of sugerless gums use it, among other things. Go to the web page, and read the article for the info.
Please keep people food out of reach from your pets. They are like toddlers. They try to sneak a bite of whatever they can, whenever they can. I received an email about a lady's dachshund that got into a purse to get the gum!
Here's a Valentine's pic of Tansy, one of my babies that I sold last year. She's well loved and spoiled. http://www.avma.org/press/releases/061001_xylitol.asp
