A Lone Bluebonnet Plant
Just about every year I buy bluebonnets (Texas state flower) to plant around my pecan trees (in my front yard). A few have come up the next year, only a couple of times. So each year I buy more bluebonnets. This year, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BACK YARD, the biggest, healthiest, prettiest, bluebonnet plant pops up! ONE PLANT! The neighbor to the back and side of me has a bunch in her back yard every year, and I suspect the birds/wind dropped a seed. So my son mowed around it. Who knows, maybe next year he'll have more bluebonnets to mow around in the back yard. They must like to grow in the grass better than the flower garden!!!!
Here is another web site about Bluebonnets.
